We are living in times of great changes and upheaval. All of us are feeling these effects, but no one more than those who have lost loved ones during this time. In early October, Lori Banks and Kit Snyder will begin a Grief Support Group as a way for us to grieve our losses together and learn about the process of grieving for those we love in a contemplative way. This is not intended to be a “therapy” group, but a way of tapping into the spiritual and universal part of us that is affected so deeply by this kind of deep loss. We will be following the book, Understanding Your Grief, by Dr Alan Wolfelt, and sharing our stories, along with poetry, music and prayer time.
We will be hosting the grief support group on Zoom. The learning and sharing will be spread over 8 sessions. There is no charge for participating in this group.
We will begin, on Tuesday, October 5 from 3:30 to 5:15, and continue on Tuesdays until December 7. (we will take 11/23 of Thanksgiving week off)
Please contact Kit Snyder at firstname.lastname@example.org or Lori Banks at email@example.com to arrange a short “get-to-know-you” meeting by phone and to sign up to join us in the group.
