In this in-person workshop, Eric Peter will provide instruction on:
- Exercises that help calm your nervous system
- Exercises for promoting neutral observation
- Neurogenic tremor techniques
- Centering Prayer
You will learn and practice an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of stress, tension and trauma. The exercises safely activate a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. The exercises are intended to be used as a self-help method that is easily learned, has immediate effects and can be integrated into a simple daily routine to help restore a sense of inner peace and relaxation.
If you have attended Eric's Creating Space for Change on-line class, this workshop will include familiar material but with the opportunity to go deeper and receive in-person instruction and feedback.
The workshop is being held at the Center for Contemplative Living, newly relocated at Calvary Baptist Church. You will need to bring the following with you to the class:
- Yoga mat*
- Blanket
- Water bottle
* Note that the exercises taught in this class can be done sitting in a chair if you prefer not to use a yoga mat.
Future Workshops
Eric will repeat this workshop on July 19th and August 30th. Registration for those sessions will open one month before the event.

About Eric Peter
Eric is a practitioner and certified instructor of the Trauma Release Exercises. Eric studied directly under Dr. David Berceli Ph.D., and has been teaching TRE to individuals, groups and organizations for several years. As a former active duty infantry Marine, he was initially inspired to serve fellow soldiers, friends and family members suffering from the effects of trauma from combat. Along the path of service, he realized that trauma and everyday stress was a natural part of life and that recovery from trauma and stress was just as natural and included the entire human family. Eric offers a unique and practical perspective in the recovery of trauma and the management of everyday stress from his rich practice of yoga and contemplative prayer.
