If we do not assume responsibility for our emotional programs on the unconscious level and take measures to change them, we will be influenced by them to the end of our lives.” – Thomas Keating, The Mystery of Christ
This class is ideal for those who have a basic understanding of the Enneagram and have explored the nine types. Russ Hudson is a groundbreaking author and teacher of the Enneagram and, via pre-recorded video, will offer a deep study of the Enneagram as a powerful spiritual tool. This class is facilitated by Joanne Warner, a long-time student and teacher of the Enneagram, and includes centering prayer time.
The Enneagram has become many things to many people, but its roots are profoundly spiritual and are based in the studies of the Desert Fathers, the world’s first Christian monastics. At its core, the Enneagram addresses the question of how we fail to recognize the presence of Grace in our lives. It helps us see the psychological issues that cause us to forget the Divine Presence here in each moment.
Real transformation, real conversion, requires an awakening to ourselves, as well as taking the journey of discovering the ways in which our soul has become entangled and confused. Gaining clear self-knowledge is a crucial step in this process of becoming fully human, and in this endeavor the Enneagram is an enormously important aid and tool of remembrance. Russ invites us to view our gifts and their distortions with Grace, opening ourselves to Presence.
Over the last three decades, Russ Hudson has established himself as one of the top teachers and developers of the Enneagram personality typology in the world today. He has been writing and teaching full-time with The Enneagram Institute as well as on his own since 1991 and has co-authored with Don Richard Riso five best-selling books on the subject, including The Wisdom of the Enneagram and Personality Types.
