"Be still and you will know, not by the knowledge of the mind,
but the knowledge of the heart,
who God is and who you are."
Thomas Keating
The book God is All in All: The Evolution of the Contemplative Christian Spiritual Journey is an edited transcript of a talk Father Thomas Keating presented at Snowmass, CO at the 2012 Annual Conference of Contemplative Outreach. In 2018, Father Thomas gave permission for three of his friends and companions on his journey, Father Carl Arico, Mary Anne Best and Betty Sue Flowers, to edit and publish this talk in book form.
Topics include:
The book's insightful content is enhanced by inspiring quotes from Fr. Thomas, supporting scripture and stunning photographs designed to lead the reader into longing for deeper openness and consent to the presence and action of God within.
About the Course
The course reviews the book chapter by chapter with experienced facilitators who will provide additional helpful materials. The class will meet on Thursday evenings for eight weeks. Each night begins with 20 minutes of Centering Prayer, followed by videos of the talks and discussion. The videos will also be available on the class website. The heart of these classes and the time together is in the sharing by participants, allowing the depth of meaning to unfold at a deeper level.
Purchase of the book is required for this class. Purchase through your favorite bookseller, or from The Center's bookstore. Limited copies are available for the discounted price of $20 (originally $30). In-person sales only. Please call The Center and let us know you're coming to visit the bookstore: 303-698-7729. Hours: Tuesday through Thursday, 9:30am to 3:30pm.
"Contemplative knowing is this inter-penetration of spirits … with God
in which human nature and the divine nature are intermingled and become one, and the oneness turned out to be everything. So to become nothing is to become everything in What Is.
This will change the world."
Thomas Keating
