May you be safe,
may you be happy,
may you be healthy,
and may you live with ease!
How's your day going?
A little bumpy? Dog throw-up on the carpet again? Car making a funny noise? Property owner raising the rent?
The little irritations of the day can pile up and before you know it, that calm from the morning's Centering Prayer gives way to tense muscles and furrowed brow. Do yourself a favor and spend a retreat day with Christine learning reset practices. You'll leave feeling relaxed and renewed. But more importantly, you'll have the tools to regain the calm, cool you whenever you need it.
Reset practices help us live more from our hearts, not just our heads. They help us grow spiritually when we learn to be kind to ourselves and to others. This kindness calms us down when we feel out of control. Without heart-based practices, the ongoing tension in our bodies and our racing minds can actually make our bodies sick. This is called inflammation and it's often the cause of many illnesses.
Scientists have found that quiet, thoughtful practices (like meditation or Centering Prayer) can make us feel better and reduce inflammation. You can open your heart throughout the day with these reset practices by feeling awe and gratitude. When you do this, you let go of the need to always feel safe, in control, or the need for approval by others.
Together we will explore:
Dr. Christine says, "Embracing these practices with dedication and consistency, you can develop resilience within yourself and also within your community and the broader universe."
Note: If you attended Christine's class on Integrating Mind, Body, Heart last year, you will find a fresh presentation here with new practices. Christine says she is very excited about this retreat because she continues to go deeper with layering and integrating the practices.

The practical exercises were so helpful. Dr. Christine explains so simply the connections between ACE's and Heart Rate Variability and their impact on health and how Centering Prayer and these exercises can bring about emotional regulation and health.
