We welcome back longtime contemplative practitioner and meditation guide Rabbi Jamie Arnold from Congregation Beth Evergreen along with singer/prayer-leader Laura Berman for a presentation of music, teachings and contemplative prayer.

Our Spring Conference is a hybrid presentation conducted both in person at The Center for Contemplative Living in Denver, CO and online via Zoom. Breakfast snacks and a light lunch will be provided for in-person participants. The conference is a community fund-raising event for The Center and helps fund program development, provide scholarships, fuel community outreach and maintain our spiritual home. We hope you can join us.
Description of Talk:
This year’s spring conference, “Psalms as Sources of Personal Solace, Interfaith Solidarity, Service and Joy,” features teachers and musicians, Rabbi Jamie Arnold and Laura Berman, sharing compelling insights about the psalms, practical guidance for contemplative practice, and meaningful small group interactions to foster our sense of community and belonging. We'll enjoy gorgeous, heartful, prayerful soulful music and, of course, space for sacred silence. Rabbi Jamie and Laura are no strangers to The Center for Contemplative Living, having led sessions (and a seder) in recent years that have been very well received.
Presentation topics include:
Note: We recognize the tremendous uncertainty and division in our country right now and want to suggest that The Psalms have been a gateway for healing and reconciliation throughout the ages and can be for us now. This presentation will take place in proximity to countrywide protests as well as oppression and violence in numerous places in the world. We invite you to be with us this day to hold it all—together—as we allow the psalms and music to take us deeper into the pain and grief of this time and transform it into love for the benefit of all.
“We are called to this journey not just for our own personal growth, but also for the sake of the whole human community.” – Fr. Thomas Keating
