Might our many societal, cultural and world
problems be viewed as a crises of faith?

In this thought-provoking presentation, Rick Klein offers insight into an often unseen dilemma that lies at the heart of many of today’s dualistic sociopolitical issues: The decline of faith and the rise of beliefs.

Through an exploration of the historical roots and evolving history of humanity’s attempts to answer life’s ultimate questions of meaning and purpose, Rick describes what happens when beliefs replace faith. Ask yourself:

Is my “Big-picture-of-all-that-is Worldview” grounded in abundance or scarcity?

Is it grounded in love or fear?

Is it based on unknowable faith or the certainty of beliefs?

Rick builds on teachings from Karen Armstrong, Richard Rohr, Thomas Keating and others to demonstrate how the fundamental first step on the spiritual journey lies in re-discovering faith in a world full of competing and conflicting beliefs. In the process, we’ll discover how compassion, forgiveness and inclusion become practices of contemplation and meditation when done through the eyes of faith.

Join us as we explore how the ultimate knowing in life resides in the humble act of unknowing. Surrendering faithfully to the unknowable, we are able see the abundant wonder of the universe and ourselves.

This presentation – Unknowable – is the final presentation in Rick’s Un-Trilogy series, which includes Unfinished and Unchanging. Combined, the three presentations are offered as an ongoing contemplative adventure into the realms of “faith, hope and love.” If you missed the previous presentations, you can still register for Unknowable as it is a unique presentation and stands on its own. If you'd like to see Unfinished and Unchanging, you may order here.

Recording Note: This event will be recorded. All registrants will receive a copy of the Zoom recording within two weeks of the event.

*The in-person event will be held at The Center for Contemplative Living in Denver, Colorado. We are housed at Calvary Baptist Church at 6500 E. Girard Ave., Denver, CO 80224.

Participant Testimonials from Rick's presentation on Unfinished and Unchanging.

  • The enthusiasm of Rick's approach and his level of knowledge, along with his ability to explain in layperson's terms what the connection is between science and spirituality. Rick is a very good teacher, engaging, informative and relevant.
  • The concepts Rick presented were very spiritually enriching and brought me peace.
  • Mr. Klein's style is comforting, helpful, clear, and his manner of speaking is outstanding (slower paced, clear slides, and plenty of resources).
